The Hunt.
Imagine stalking through the African bush and creeping up on a
giant kudu bull. This hard to hunt monster is sporting 55” spiral
horns and weighing in at around 650 pounds, and here you are . . .
in Africa . . . away from the malls and cell phones . . . trying to
get your heart to settle down long enough so that you can steady
your cross hairs on his vital organs.
Picture yourself driving in Mike’s 4x4 through the game rich South
African bush up to the top of one of Shabalala’s many rugged
bluffs and glassing the valley below for a cape eland, blue
wildebeest or a trophy gemsbok. As you’re searching the terrain .
. . you see your trophy about a half a mile away upwind from you,
and now it’s time to test your skills and see if you can creep up
to these wary animals and get a shot at Mr. Big.
Envision sitting at a watering hole in your blind as the sun is
coming up while you try to keep quiet as zebra stallions and trophy
impala pour into your stand within bow range of where you are
hiding. Imagine drawing that bow and locking your 20-yard pin on the
sweet spot of a mature African trophy.
Hunter . . . can you feel this?
Does this flick your switch?
| With Shabalala Safaris this is not a fantasy, but a daily
reality which gets even better.
After a day of hard hunting, Mike’s top notch staff
will take your trophy and prepare it for the taxidermist and
then prepare its back straps for a steak dinner that night
as you enjoy the comfort of your cool, thatched chalet or a
swim in Shabalala’s swimming pool. |

While you’re unwinding and getting cleaned up, Shabalala’s
staff will be organizing the wild game dishes, uncorking the
fine South African wines and preparing the freshly made
baked goods and deserts for you and your party. Their
exquisite meals are served either indoors in the main lodge
or outdoors in their beautiful thatched roof dining area. |
This well-equipped camp in a loaded game area united with the
skills of Mike and his well-trained trackers and camp staff will
ensure a hunting safari in the African bush that is unforgettable.
From the variety of trophy animals, the guarantee of a fair chase,
the excellence of service and the moderate costs compared to other
safari companies . . . it doesn’t get much better than hunting
with Mike Keeny and Shabalala Safaris. |
